Every stone laidby hand.

Mr Ramesh G, the master brain behind Temple Tree, grew up in a village. He wanted a place built the way homes there always were.
That way of building is called vernacular architecture: you build with what the land gives you. So the walls are laterite brick and hand-laid stone, the roofs are Mangalore clay tile, and there's Jaisalmer marble in the rooms and at the entrance.
The dining pavilion's thatch was laid by artisans from Tamil Nadu. It keeps the pavilion cool through the summer.
